Cromlix House Hotel

by Michael
((Perthshire))

I took my mother for lunch on her 89th birthday to this beautiful hotel, accessed by way of a long meandering drive. The service was very good. All staff were quietly efficient, very friendly and helpful. The menu was not extensive, but the food was creative and superbly cooked. Overall the lunch was excellent and a memorable occasion.
The hotel has its own chapel which is the only part of this 15th century country manor remaining after a fire destroyed the house in 1878. It is an idyllic setting for private wedding ceremonies.
